Jennifer Lopez In Andrew Gn – 2010 Latin Grammy Awards

This is how I like my divas.

Sexy, hot, fierce and fearless.

Jennifer Lopez looked breath-taking at the 2010 Latin Grammy Awards last night which was held at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.

Her hips did not lie in this stunning Andrew Gn keyhole gown.

I’m aching over how amazing she looks in this dusty rose star embellished gown with a contrasting beaded belt.

Lose the oddly place grey clutch and we have total perfection.

When she’s on fire she can shut any red carpet down.

Is this a BDOTW contender for you?

Fergie In Louis Vuitton – amfAR Inspiration Gala Paris

Fergie joined Diane Kruger at the amfAR Inspiration Gala which was held at the Pavillon Gabriel in Paris, France this evening.

The Black Eyed Peas singer opted for a Louis Vuitton Fall 2011 ensemble.

That picture of Kate Moss still makes me shiver, but Fergie just about pulls off this look which includes a laser-cut leather jacket with furry sleeves, black wool hot pants and knee-high boots.

I was very surprised that she added tights considering only Cameron Diaz can rival her when it comes to “best legs to ever walk a red carpet.”

With her hair pulled back into a tight ponytail Fergie added red lippie, a patent leather corset belt, a black lace top and a silver LV minaudière to complete her look.

This is not Fergie’s finest moment, but it I can’t help thinking that it could’ve been a lot worse.

Color War: Jonathan Saunders Comes On Strong At Escada Sport

Jonathan Saunders was in town last week to show his own Resort collection (and host a little get-together at the Bowery), but I caught up with him at Escada, where he debuted the capsule collection he designed for Escada Sport Resort. Saunders brought a splash of color—to say the least—to the German label’s friendly-priced diffusion label. The color-blocking that made up much of his namesake collection’s recent offerings reappears here, with pegged trousers and trenches in electric blue, blue and green paneled minidresses and pleated skirts, and a print that’s literally color-blocked—that is to say, of colored blocks. Accessories, including totes, belts, and trompe l’oeil wedges with graphic “heels,” pick up the theme. My personal favorite motif was a blown-out houndstooth print, which was shown in a contrast silk blouse and skirt look (left). Saunders spoke of bringing a new, younger customer to Escada’s stores and to Lord & Taylor, where the collection will bow. As of now, he’s slated to start with Resort and potentially move on to pre-fall, but if he draws crowds—and I wouldn’t be surprised—I bet the label will court him for Fall and Spring, too.

Runway To Puerto Rico – Jennifer Lopez In Valentino & Zuhair Murad

Jennifer Lopez is current in Puerto Rico with hubby Marc Anthony.

As they left their hotel she was spotted wearing a red Valentino paillette tulle dress from the Pre-Fall 2010 collection.

Her dress is paired with some sparkling Dorothy-esqe ruby heels and a white clutch.

The couple jumped into a waiting SUV to take them to their concert in San Juan.

It’s seems like a very extravagant dress to go from A to B, but this is Jennifer Lopez we’re talking about here.

Once at the concert the couple performed to their adoring crowd.

Jennifer changed into yet another sparkling dress.

This time it she wore a green sequin Zuhair Murad Fall 2010 long sleeve mini dress with tulle bodice.

Her dress was modified by adding a flounce hem which would’ve added more movement to her look when she was shaking her famous bootie on stage.

Marcia Cross In Jean Fares Couture – 2011 ALMA Awards

Best Earrings Award
Marcia Cross made a long awaited return to the red carpet at the 2011 ALMA Awards last night.

The Desperate Housewives star supported her co-star Eva Longoria, who was the host on the night.

Marcia looked breath-taking wearing a Jean Fares Couture gown.

The navy lace strapless gown with a sweet-heart neckline and bow accent was paired with most dazzling berry earrings which was complemented by a matching cuff.

That gorgeous red hair was swept over one shoulder as she completed her look with glossy lips and smoky eyes.

I wish the clutch had either matched the colour of her earrings or been navy blue.

A navy blue embellished Swarovski clutch completes her look and she gets a perfect 10 from me.

Back in February I shared my experience of working with Valentino and Elle.com for their Elle/Valentino Spring Summer 2011 Ezine.

It’s finally arrived and I’m so excited to share it with you.

The Ezine – which also features a video clip – shares Susie Bubble, Leandra Medine and my favourite pieces from the Valentino Spring 2011 collection.

My feature is on the 4th page so check it out now.

The Ezine was also picked up by WWD today.

A Bikini Even A Mother Could Love

It wasn’t until she became pregnant with her son Jo that São Paulo native Amalia Spinardi felt compelled to take the signature Brazilian bikini one step further. “I was pregnant when I decided to do the line and I wanted a bit more of a comfortable fit. I couldn’t wear the Brazilian cuts anymore,” she said of her ambition to design a modern version of the barely-there silhouette. “When you are so exposed in a bikini, your body is almost naked. You really need something that’s comfortable.” And so, Jo de Mer was born, and found a loyal following among Brazilians—even those who thought they’d never trade in their barely-theres.In Los Angeles to introduce the line to the ladies-who-lunch crowd, Spinardi took turns explaining her near 30-piece-deep collection to the likes of Minnie Mortimer Gaghan, Ali Larter, Jennifer Meyer Maguire, and host Alexandra von Furstenberg (left, with Spinardi). Von Furstenberg, who was first introduced to the line when she was in need of a quick suit for a tropical jaunt, is just one of the many beach-bound who have taken to the line’s subtle play on the signature Brazilian heat. In addition to the best-selling, aptly named Capri string bikini, Spinardi is expanding the selection to caftans, sundresses, and beachwear for Resort. But the bikini remains the line’s resounding focus. “I want the collection to be about simple shapes with lots of texture. Using rich fabrics with simple fits. If you’re going to the beach, it has to be wearable.”

Taylor Momsen – 2011 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

*Eyeroll* Award
Does anyone else find it ironic that ‘rock chick’ Taylor Momsen was at the 2011 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards?

Isn’t this type of award show everything she’s totally against?

I don’t think her real rock stars like Courtney Love would attend such an event.

The ‘Gossip Girl’ actress gives her best ‘bad ass’ look with her typical garb including fish net tights, leather jacket, raccoon make-up and tacky extensions.

Blasblog From Moscow: Balmains By The Truckload

One of the questions people ask when they see the hefty price tags for Balmain’s tiny cocktail dresses is who exactly is buying this stuff. Well, I figured out the answer last night: rich Russian ladies. At a dinner for Dasha Zhukova’s museum in Moscow, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld thought she would represent the French label in a sparkly pink metal mesh number. (That’s her in the picture, though you should ignore the iridescent straps on her legs—those were a regretful late-night styling tip from a friend who found a storage of VIP slap bracelets at the after-party.) Too bad two Russian gals had already beat her to the punch: Aizel Trudel, a businesswoman who opened the Louboutin boutique here, showed up in the sparkly green number most recently seen on Jennifer Connelly; and Liza Molchanova, a housewife who wore a jacket often described as the Michael Jackson (think lots of sparkly bits and epaulets). Apparently, in this part of the world, there are whole factions of housewives who are desperate to get their hands on Balmain. “Like crack,” someone put it, which I think is a great analogy. So now that we’ve answered the question about where one finds all the world’s Balmain, it’s time for another one: How do I become a Moscow housewife?
